Overview
Inspired by an ancient Chinese record, "The Classic of Mountains and Seas," I created a series of illustrated handbook of the cryptids.
Using Figma, I designed this project to connect the past with the present through contemporary visual storytelling.

Throughout history, humans have envisioned and documented extraordinary creatures, known as cryptids, that blend myth with reality.
Written during the late 3rd or 2nd centuries BCE, "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" (Shān Hǎi Jīng) records over 400 such cryptids, making it a key source for cryptozoology.
Although these creatures are often seen as bizarre and fictitious, their spiritual significance endures, continuing to captivate our imaginations and serve as timeless cultural symbols.
